NATO 6T QynCap
The NATO 6T QynCap is the first product based on Qynergy’s asymmetric, aqueous nickel (oxy) hydroxide ultracapacitor technology. Designed specifically for vehicle starting applications, this QynCap is packaged in a 6T battery case for drop-in replacement in US military systems currently using NATO 6T lead-acid batteries. Unlike lead-acid batteries, QynCaps will last the life of the vehicle because of their high cycle life (>100,000 cycles). They also have a wider operating temperature range (-60°F to +160°F) and higher power density (more cranking amps) that will improve engine starting reliability. By using a QynCap for vehicle engine starting, the US military will enhance their combat capability while saving tens of millions of dollars annually.

85Kr QynCell
The 85Kr QynCell is a power cell that delivers a small amount of current (microamps) continuously for an exceedingly long time (20 years or more). Based on Qynergy’s revolutionary betavoltaic technology, the 85Kr QynCell utilizes high performance silicon carbide semiconductors and pressurized Krypton-85 gas to generate power.
Although the 85Kr QynCell can only deliver a small amount of current, it can be used to trickle-charge a battery or ultracapacitor between bursts in low duty-cycle pulsed power applications. The QynCell effectively increases the total energy stored in the battery or ultracapacitor by orders of magnitude.
